Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am delighted to join the Esperanza High School faculty as the new Choral Music Director. Last Spring, I had the pleasure of meeting many students throughout the day and during a pizza lunch. I also got to know the choirs, and even played Uno with Mr. Myers and Bass Choir. It was a wonderful introduction, and I am eagerly looking forward to starting this year!
About Me
With the APU Chamber Singers, I
traveled to England, Ireland, Wales,
Italy, and the Vatican
Singing is in my blood! I come from a musical family and have been part of choirs from a young age through graduate school. Thanks to the gift of choral music, I met people from all around the world. It is an honor for me to share my experiences with students and show them everything the world of music has to offer. Apart from teaching, I also perform as a singer and serve as a choral clinician across Southern California. Most recently, I taught at Los Alamitos High School, where I was a rehearsal pianist, vocal coach, and substitute director for their show choir program. Before that, I was the Vocal Music Director at Bonita Vista High School in Chula Vista, CA. I am excited to join the students at Esperanza and build upon the great work already being done here!

Choir Registration – Monday, August 14 • 10-11 AM
As part of EHS Back to School Week events, all choir students are required to attend the Choir Registration event from 10-11 AM. Additionally, you are welcome to bring interested students who would like to learn more about choir and sign up for one of our classes.
Welcome Back BBQ – Following Choir Registration • 11 AM-1 PM
After choir registration, all choir students, parents, and family members are invited to join us for a complimentary lunch and gathering! We extend our thanks to our volunteer grill masters, coordinators, and supporters who have made this event possible. During the BBQ, we will provide important documents and information about our year ahead. I will also be available for a Q&A session and to meet everyone!
Rehearsal Camp for Vocal Ensemble and Show Choir – August 14-17 (ending daily at 5 PM)
Our Vocal Ensemble will immerse themselves in music from different parts of the world, spanning 400 years. Reverberation will be working with the renowned choreographer, Erik Hall, to learn new music. Erik, who collaborated with Esperanza last school year, has generously made time in his busy schedule to work with us during our camp.
